As the go-to host for your assigned train car, you’ll be the leader of holiday cheer—making sure every passenger has a smooth, joyful experience. From guiding seasonal staff and volunteers to keeping special events, groups, and charters on track, you’ll play a key role in creating unforgettable memories for our guests.
Bike/Kayak Handler
A Bike/Kayak Handler works and represents the Explorer program as part of the train crew. Handlers are responsible for loading, unloading, and organizing; bikes, kayaks, strollers, and wagons onto rail baggage cars. Reports to Manager of Train Operations. This is a seasonal position working from now through October 26, 2025.
Explorer Program Team Lead
The Explorer Program Team Leader is an operations employee that is part of a train crew. The Explorer Program Team Leader is a Bike handler that is also responsible for leading the on-duty bike handlers and is involved in the safe calling in of trains and clearing the platforms for train movements. Reports to Manager of Train Operations. This is a seasonal position working from now through October 26, 2025.
HVAC Technician
The duties of a HVAC/Electrician Technician involve inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing critical HVAC and electrical systems on a historic locomotive and locomotive equipment to meet and exceed Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad expectations for positive, safe and reliable customer experience while maintaining a clean and respectable fleet appearance.
